More Less Project: Excelsior
For the first launch, Excelsior Cafe became a place of conversation about migration, belonging, and community through the collective study of physical (and psychological) bridges, links, borders, and frontiers.
#MoreLessProject is a participatory public art initiative that puts forward a blank space to invite passerby to reflect upon their values and desires; and consider the things they hold important in their lives and surroundings, and the effect they have at large in their neighborhoods, cities and networks.
How might art be reclaimed as a radical tool that encourages connection, dismantles current notions of borders, and creates frameworks to rescue forgotten territories and advocate for more bridges and less borders between people and space?
