More Less Project: Remote Year
This iteration focuses on the 365 days since the start of the Covid-19 disruption in mid-march 2020. For most of such a year, things as we knew them, changed, amidst adapating, and navigating living in a pandemic.
#MoreLessProject is a participatory public art initiative that puts forward a blank space to invite passerby to reflect upon their values and desires; and consider the things they hold important in their lives and surroundings, and the effect they have at large in their neighborhoods, cities and networks.
With the 1-year mark of Covid disruption, I hosted two #MoreLessProject remote events. Through the roundtable conversations, we discussed staying creative in a time of social distancing, passion projects, and working in the community. We then facilitated workshops with the audience to share the adjustments, challenges, and lessons from a year apart.
Many thanks to Ricardo Del Bufalo, Adrianna Alfidi, Francisco Hernandez, Edith Vaisberg, Orlando Osorio, Melissa Wong, Orianna Montenegro, Maddy Beard, and Ewelina Olewchoska for their participation, and everyone that attended the gatherings.
