Eastern Sierras in June

Two years in a row for an annual trip to Mono County, between Mono Lake and Mammoth Lakes.

For the past two years, I happen to find myself in the Eastern Sierras for the beginning of summer, the month of June and close to the days of Summer solstice. Visit after visit, either going through the Tioga Pass, driving south from Tahoe, or going north from Bishop I’m always impressed by the many landscapes, micro climates, and vastness that can be found on this side of the John Muir Trail.
